Chemical Peels

Our customized, medical-grade chemical peels improve your overall complexion and address a wide range of common skin concerns, including acne, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and freckles. We offer various chemical peels at our North Palm Beach and Pinellas Park, FL, med spas.

What Are Chemical Peels?

A chemical peel involves applying acidic chemical formulations that cause the outer layers of skin to peel away, revealing fresh, new skin. It can treat skin on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, or legs. Our aesthetic specialists customize the strength of chemical peels based on your skin type and tone, the condition we’re treating, and your goals for improvement. Peels are generally categorized as light, medium, or deep.

Most people who get light or medium peels schedule a series of treatments to get the optimal results.

Chemical Peels & Hydrafacials

Keep in mind that each patient is unique and your results may vary.

What Conditions Do Chemical Peels Treat?

Peels are versatile and can effectively treat multiple skin conditions. A chemical peel can help reduce or improve:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Certain types of acne
  • Mild scarring
  • Sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, or uneven skin coloring
  • Rough skin, scaly patches, dull complexion

Scheduling a chemical peel a few weeks before microneedling or laser skin rejuvenation can enhance the results of those procedures.

How Long Is Recovery After a Chemical Peel?

Your recovery following a chemical peel depends on the treatment’s strength.

Light (“Lunchtime”) Peel: This peel requires no downtime. You’ll see some redness and should apply lotion or creams until your skin heals. You can apply makeup immediately after treatment or the following day.

Medium Peel: Following a medium peel, such as VI Peel, you can expect redness, swelling, and flaking during the first 48 hours. The skin crusts over and then peels for about a week.

Our Menu of Chemical Peels

We customize most of our peels at our med spa to get the best results for each client. We apply chemical solutions designed to address specific conditions:

Acne: Jumpstart your clear skin journey with a peel using a variety of acids such as trichloroacetic acid (TCA), resorcinol, hydroquinone, or blends of salicylic acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid, and fruit extracts.

Wrinkles, fine lines, and rough texture: Promote skin renewal, improve texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with peels that include retinol, TCA, peptide complexes, antioxidants, and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs).

Brightening: To combat hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and dullness, we use AHAs, beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), ascorbic acid, kojic acid, hydroquinone, arbutin, and plant extracts.
