Microneedling treatment is a minimally invasive procedure that works by using small needles (between 0.5 and 3.0 mm) to puncture areas of the skin and create controlled wounds. The body responds by filling the wounds with collagen and elastin, which are natural proteins that can effectively strengthen the skin and improve its appearance. Unlike other skin rejuvenation and repair methods, the microneedling system actually uses your body’s own growth factors to smooth the skin. Because your body is producing its own collagen and elastin, no harsh chemicals are present, resulting in fewer side effects.
